Ray Tongue Scholarships for Asian English Teachers 2019Ray Tongue Scholarship Fund was set up in memory of IATEFL’s late Treasurer, with the purpose of helping IATEFL members in the countries concerned (see below) to attend the IATEFL Annual Conference.

One or two scholarships are usually awarded each year.

Target Group

Teachers or teacher trainers from selected Asian Countries

Scholarship value/inclusions

Each scholarship is worth in the region of £300 plus a free registration for that conference.  The award is paid to the speaker at the conference to offset accommodation and travel costs.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify applicants must:

  • •  be natives of the following countries: Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka or Thailand.
  • •  be a fully paid up individual member of IATEFL
